Hebron High School Choir Trip Plans

May 13-17, 2010

The Hebron High School choir will travel to South Padre Island to compete in the Director’s Choir Gulf Coast Festival.

With travel, lodging, food and entry fees included, we are estimating that the trip will cost about $375.00 person.  The HHS Choir Booster Club is willing and ready to offer choir students ample fund-raisers to defray the cost of the trip.  Several choir parents and other adults will chaperone the group of approximately 60-90 students.  The adult chaperones understand that they will be required to pay the same price as students.

Here is a list of attractions and sights that we are working to include the following in our itinerary:

•    Performing/Competing in the Director’s Choice Gulf Coast Festival
•    Ticket to Schlitterbahn Water Park
•    Dolphin watching cruise in the Gulf
•    All meals and lodging
•    LISD approved charter bus travel

Departure date and time is contingent on the AP test schedule and if any of our choir students are taking tests on Friday, May 14.  If we don’t have any students who are taking an AP test on Friday, we will leave on Thursday night and arrive at South Padre early Friday morning.  If we have Friday AP testers (choir directors strongly urge students to be a part of AP testing!), we will leave at noon on Friday, May 14th.  We will arrive back at HHS on Monday evening, May 17th.

Students will be eligible to go on the spring choir trip if they are passing all classes at the third nine weeks grading period ending on March 26th OR if they fail a class at the 9 weeks and are passing all classes at the 3 week grading period ending April 19th.  Refunds are at the discretion of the travel companies being used for this trip.  All fundraised monies are property of Hebron High School and will not be returned to the student.

Students will need to make punctual scheduled payments during the school year.  Students entering choir in the spring semester can participate in the choir trip if there is availability.
